What is Wellbutrin?

Wellbutrin, also known as Bupropion, is one of the most widely-used treatment methods for depression.  In 2007, more than 20 million prescriptions for Wellbutrin were filled in the United States.


What types of products qualify for my claim?

Products using Bupropion include Wellbutrin, Wellbutrin SR, Wellbutrin XI, Zyban, Voxra, Budeprion, Amfebutamone, and Aplenzin.


What types of conditions or drugs have harmful interactions with Wellbutrin?

You should not take Wellbutrin if you have epilepsy or a seizure disorder, an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia, if you are using a second form of Bupropion, or if you have suddenly stopped using alcohol or sedatives.


Wellbutrin can also have harmful interactions with the following: blood clot prevention medications, cancer medications, and heart/blood pressure drugs.


How do I know if I have side effects from Wellbutrin?

Wellbutrin side effects include rash, peeling and blistering of the skin, confusion, trouble concentrating, hallucinations, headaches, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, appetite changes, weight loss/gain, mild itching, and decreased sex drive.


What should I do if I think I was injured by a side effect of Wellbutrin?
