Rudolph Metayer graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 with degrees in both philosophy and government. Mr. Metayer obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas in 2006. At the University, he not only worked to create a University wide honor code, but was also a member of the Texas Black State Legislature Student Government. In addition, while in school Mr. Metayer clerked for a major law firm, was a governing member of the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society, and a member of the prestigious Board of Advocates. He participated on several national Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions.

Rudolph gained keen legal insight from working in the University of Texas Juvenile Justice Clinic and by clerking with the Texas Actual Innocence office. Mr. Metayer is now under the tutelage of those at this firm. While at the firm, Rudolph has learned that to whom much is given, much is expected and that the law needs to be accessible to those who have no other avenue to pursue relief. He has dedicated his career to make this become a reality.

Mr. Metayer is a member of the Travis County Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Austin Young Lawyers Association, National Black Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and Austin Black Lawyers Association.
